Dear Friends and Viewers,
On march 28th 2008, there was a tragedy of epic proportion, a major flood at the Tanzanite mines in Merelani, where many miners lives were lost.
We here at The Jewelry Channel were saddened by this event, and we have decided to lend a hand.
Beginning tonight, at 8pm Central Standard Time, we will launch a 24 hour tanzanite special, and we have pledged to donate 1% of the total proceeds of the entire event to the families of those affected by this tragedy.
Our thoughts and our hearts go out to all of those people who are dealing with the loss of a loved one today. We only hope that something like this will never happen again.
