From May 30 – June 3, 2008, jewelry retailers from around the world gathered at JCK Las Vegas to meet with colleagues, explore the latest trends and attend some of the year’s most exciting and informative special events.
Thousands of Jewelry manufacturers and gemstone cutters from around the world presented their best work and latest designs for the buyers to see and plan the season ahead.
I had the pleasure to be there and interview a lot of people from various fields and exchange ideas with them. All the buyers and designers from The Jewelry Channel USA met with many different gemstone suppliers and jewelry manufacturers to exchange ideas and put together a line which will be in line with the latest fashion trends, colors and value.
Some of the most popular gemstones we saw among others were Tanzanite, Paraiba Tourmaline, Columbian Emerald, Kunzite and Rutilated Quartz. All designers were focusing on Sterling Silver, Platinum with big and bold looks. We also saw a lot of black and white combination.
It was a lot of fun to meet with all my friends from all over the country as well as overseas. Based on the show in Las Vegas, we have put together a wonderful weekend featuring a new style every hour.

You have come a long way on tjc.tv. At first I turned the channel when you came on because you didn't describe your merchandise. You have become a favorite of mine because you did let your audience know you were trying to improve but that you didn't know what else you could do to explain your merchandise. That was enough for me to just hear you say those words. I knew that you were a good host and I needed to give you a chance.
