AMERICA’S FIRST MILLION-DOLLAR HOME SHOPPING JEWELRY AUCTION

Hi Everybody!
I want to personally invite you to our first ever Million Dollar Extravaganza at The Jewelry Channel.
This Saturday, March 1st, Sayed Haider and me, Michele Lau, get to make television-shopping history together. From 9 pm until Midnight Central Time, we will feature hand-selected luxury jewelry. Each piece is one of a kind and has been sourced from our design partners worldwide reflecting some of the finest craftsmanship found anywhere. There are featured selections that have taken literally years to create! It is like a trunk show right in your living room.

These items have been appraised with a retail replacement value of more than $1 Million. Can you imagine how excited I am? Ron bought me a new suit and Sayed will be wearing his tuxedo – it should be great fun! Tell your friends!

If you would like to sneak a peek at some of the over two dozen pieces that we have placed on reserve for you go to http://www.makelifesparkle.com/. These pieces are available for sale now, for your convenience, and have never been seen or sold before. Each selection will come with a written appraisal specifically for your piece. This appraisal will reflect the retail replacement value of your item.

If you would like more information on these items or to reserve a piece for yourself, call 1-877-899-0098. It is a different telephone number than the one that you may be used to. You cannot bid online for these pieces now or on the night of the big show. You can, however, reserve an item in advance. We will make personal delivery arrangements for you that suit your needs.
Luxury is literally at your fingertips as you decide how low the price goes during the live auctions here at The Jewelry Channel on Saturday night. Or, if you prefer, allow us to help you select the perfect piece in advance at our best price– it is up to you!

So please join Sayed Haider and myself for this historic occasion. The Millionaire Extravaganza showcases The Jewelry Channel’s commitment to high-quality, high-value luxury jewelry. Here is the preview website and telephone number, again, for your reference:

A Fun Way to Choose a Diamond Ring Style that Suits You - by Michele Lau

It occurs to me that with Spring in the air and bridal season bringing the idea of commitment to couples everywhere, that you may need some assistance selecting a diamond ring. Whether it is for you, or your significant other, her astrological sign may provide clues for the ideal design. Now this is just for entertainment purposes. I am just having some fun here (the 4 C’s have been done to death) and this could provide you with some insight into that most important purchase from The Jewelry Channel. Let’s start with the most recent birthday:

PISCES (Feb. 19 – March 20)

You are one of the most romantic signs in the zodiac. Your personality indicates that you would probably rather be surprised with a diamond ring. You like soft lines and shapes.

Michele’s Style Advise: I would choose for you one of our fantasy Rhapsody diamond rings: set in platinum with a pear shape or cushion shaped center stone.

ARIES (March 21 – April 19)

You love your exciting life and have grand expectations. Your personality is big and you tend to be athletic.

Michele’s Style Advise: You like big and bold jewelry that can keep up with your energetic lifestyle. I would choose a Rhapsody platinum band ring for you with a series of nice-sized brilliant round diamonds.

TAURUS (April 20 – May 20)

You love being in love and have been dreaming of the perfect ring for quite some time. You tend to be conservative and like clean lines. Family and tradition are probably important to you.

Michele’s Style Advise: I would choose a classic GIA or IGI Certified brilliant round solitaire for you from our Iliana collection. Quality is so important to you and our Iliana collection is set in 18K gold.

GEMINI (May 21 – June 20)

You are always on the go and your friends are amazed at how you can keep it all together. A bundle of energy, you have a tendency to see the big picture and misplace small items, even if they mean the world to you.

Michele’s Style Advise: I would choose a low profile, pave set band ring for you from our classic diamond collection in 14K white or yellow gold. Nothing to get in the way and something that will sparkle in the light in case you accidentally set it aside. It will be durable enough to keep up with you!

CANCER (June 21 – July 23)

Sentimental and romantic, you would like a ring just like your Mother or Grandmother might have worn. Something simple and enduring, you like to envision your ring in your family for generations.

Michele’s Style Advise: Definitely a Rhapsody Platinum ring for you! Perhaps an oval cut diamond and a few high quality baguettes to create a timeless, heritage piece you will love.

LEO (July 24 – Aug.22)

The rock star of the zodiac – you love the limelight! Also ruled by your heart, you want something unique and stylish.

Michele’s Style Advise: A large, fancy colored diamond will make you sing! Choose chocolate or champagne colors for deco chic or bright yellow for your energetic side. These fancy diamonds are rarer than traditional white diamonds – you like that don’t you, rebel?

VIRGO (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22)

Grounded and practical, you probably have a clipping folder with design ideas for your perfect diamond ring. The ultimate perfectionist, you insist on quality.

Michele’s Style Advise: I advise that you wear something from our Rhapsody collection since platinum provides the solid platform that you demand. All of the diamonds in this collection are eye clean and near colorless. Look for something simple – possibly a tension mount stone?

LIBRA (Sept. 23 – Oct. 22)

You love the idea of getting married! You are probably looking for something unusual that reflects the perfect love that you have found.

Michele’s Style Advise: You should have a diamond ring with lots of details. Filigree work and hand mil graining appeal to you. I recommend something in white or rose gold from our classic diamond collection set in 14K gold. Maybe a heart shaped natural pink diamond?

SCORPIO (Oct. 23 – Nov. 21)

Some people call you controlling, you prefer organized. Your wedding has been planned since you were 16 years old and you know where to get the best deals on everything for the perfect day. That is why you are buying your diamond ring at The Jewelry Channel, right?

Michele’s Style Advise: As mass wholesalers, The Jewelry Channel is your direct source for diamond jewelry. I recommend a princess cut diamond for you, sexy Scorpio!

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21)

I am a sag girl myself so I am, admittedly, biased. Ruled by Jupiter, the bigger the better for us. Being subtle is not our strength, so why not leave this article laying out somewhere so that your significant other finds it?

Michele’s Style Advise: Rhapsody in platinum or Iliana in 18K white gold works for me! Both collections feature eye clean, near colorless diamonds. The fancy cut diamonds that we use as accent stones in this collection will make any woman swoon.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19)

You are a strong and successful woman who conquerors any task put before her. Also a little thrifty, you recognize a good value for the dollar.

Michele’s Style Advise: Choose a square cut diamond to reflect your strength. Square shapes in either a princess or radiant cut will reflect your status and good taste, too. I recommend our classic 14K diamond collection - it will suit you perfectly!

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18)

You feel an emotional connection to everything you do. Why should choosing your diamond ring be any different?

Michele’s Style Advise: You need a one-of-kind ring as unique as you are, so I recommend looking at one of our free faceted gemstones. These diamonds are custom cut and as unique as you are. Whatever 18K gold setting you choose from the Iliana collection, these pieces are made one at a time and dare to be different.

This should get you started! If I can be of further assistance in selecting diamond jewelry for you, please feel free to email me. I had a good time putting this together for you – I hope that you enjoyed it!

Happy Spring! Or should I say “Happy Diamond Season?”

Love,

Michele Lau

Follow your Dreams - Kathy Mursch

Have you ever seen the movie “Rudy”? In the movie Rudy is a young man who faces incredible odds and through sheer perseverance and persistence becomes a walk-on player for Notre Dame.

I feel like Rudy. My name is Kathy Mursch and I’m just like you. I have been an avid fan of TJC almost since its inception. I have been awed by the jewelry. I have enjoyed watching the hosts. I have loved watching the price plunges. I have spent countless hours logged onto the internet watching the show. I love watching TJC!

As I was watching TJC a dream began to grow within me. I wanted to be a host. The more I watched the show the more I felt the desire to be on TV. I knew this was entirely illogical because I have no TV background. I’m a life coach. Other than my public speaking experience I have no qualifications that would equip me to work as a host on a national TV show.

As a life coach I always encourage my clients to think big, to think outside of the box. How could I encourage my clients to go for it in life if I didn’t go for my dream myself? I knew I had to apply.

There is only one word to describe the interview/screen test process: terrifying. Absolutely terrifying. There is no better way to describe it. But I went for it, and I am now a freelance host!

My dream doesn’t end there. My dream continues to grow. I want to use this blog to take you behind the scenes here at TJC. Consider me your reporter on the inside. I’ll tell you what it’s like to prepare for a show. I’ll let you know what it’s like inside the studio and the green room. I’ll answer your burning questions.

So what do you want to know? Do you want to know if Shaggy is really shaggy? Are you interested in knowing whether Dan Dennis ever goes home or if he just sleeps at TJC? (He is here a LOT.) Would you like to know what Michele Lau said to me that almost made me cry? (Hint: it was very kind.)

Send your burning questions to studio@tjc.tv. Put “Kathy’s blog” in the subject line. I will answer as many questions as I can for you in this blog. Check back here for further updates and in the meantime the life coach in me says “Play big. Live big. Watch TJC. And go for your dreams!
